RED SUMMER PROJECT
To mark the 100 year anniversary of the Red Summer race riots four artists, myself, Paris Williams, Heavy Crownz, and Hakim Dough, decided to tour across North America, traveling to 27 cities in 33 days. Our goal was to share our artistic gifts of hip hop, restorative justice peace circles, streetwear, and coloring book sessions to promote our beliefs of peace, inclusion, and truth. Featuring freestyle and live performances by my brothers Heavy Crownz and The Honorable Hakim Dough as well as footage filmed by photographer Paris Williams capturing peace circles that I kept.
Red Summer Project is an authentic documentary film experience that shows what is possible when surrendering to serendipity and setting out to make a difference.
